Are we witnessing a mass-extinction event?

Mass extinctions as we know are deadly catastrophes which wipes most of the species out of the planet. The last mass-extinction event occurred 65 million years ago and the one before that occurred 250 million years ago. The one that occurred 250 million years ago is called Permian-Triassic extinction which wiped up 96% of all marine specie and 70% of terrestrial vertebrate. There are various stated causes which include volcanic eruptions from the sea beds, extreme greenhouse effect and asteroid impact. Whatever the cause was, it took nearly 10 million years for the earth to recover. The other one(occurred 65 million years ago) is called Cretaceous-Paleogene extinction was caused by an asteroid impact on the earth's crust and was the reason for the extinction of dinosaurs.

All the above stated extinctions were natural with no one having control over them. They happened either in a flash(by asteroid impact) or gradually by methanogens(methane exhaling organisms), volcanic eruptions and other harmful gas erupting objects leading to green-house effect, gradually leading to tsunamis and increase in temperature.But the one taking place right now is being caused by one and only homo-sapiens. The causes being deforestation, harmful radio waves,oil spills, factory emission, motor vehicles, plastic, water pollution, burning fossil fuels, using chemical weapons, bursting crackers, hunting, fishing, wastage of food and water and many other causes. 

All these causes are leading to extinction of many species and the rate is increasing every day bit by bit. We have made creatures homeless and are guilty of killing millions. We have killed trees for our greed. We  have made dustbins out of lakes and rivers never thinking about its effects. We emit harmful gases even after knowing its consequences and at the end of the day we sit in a conference discussing climate change and the next day we get back to the same routine. 

Well, if we don't stop, more number of species are going to get extinct in front of our eyes and at the end we may need to leave the planet and if we couldn't, we must face our own doings. 

The failure of education system in Indian schools

The Indian education system , is in many ways harmful to our society , it gives gives our students more information and less skills . There are many debates going on the education system of India , and honestly there are many approaches which we can take to criticise it (a fact I am not very proud of) .

To begin with , lets know what  education should actually be about , we want our students to attain knowledge so that they can contribute to the society and be upstanding citizens , in an ideal education system science is taught so that students can become good scientists or engineers or doctors etc. civics is taught so that the students know how the country runs so that they can run it when they grow up , history is taught so that students learn about their ancestors and be proud of the history of the county , literature is taught to improve the language of the students and so that students of this generation can enjoy the works of earlier generations , but instead we have an education system which teaches us how to write answers to attain marks .

So the present indian education system aims to build a facade , it aims to give the students the ability to show that they are knowledgable but it does not give them knowledge they can use to improve the society , the essence of academics is lost due to our present education system . This system was laid by the british to make Indians zombies so that its easy for them to control us . India needs the brilliance of her people to develop , the present education system takes the away.

If the education system of a country does not teach its students the importance of academics , high percentage of educated people become un-employable . Which is the case with India now .
The economy of this country is not what it should be because the number of entrepreneurs in this country are scarce , why is that ? Because since our birth we have been taught to stay away from un-chartered territory ,  how can a country where innovation has no value, develop ? , students are expected to stand out but are not expected to explore  .


In old US , red-Indians and non-christians were called heathens , here students who do not do what everyone else does are called failures . This is regress , and all this is due to one failed education system .

India needs Indians

India has a rich history , we have had many rulers (rich ones in fact ) , India was also  known as sone ki chidiya ( the golden bird) , we have had brave people , huge armies , millions of intellectuals , thousands of amazing books with historical significance .

But still we were ruled by english people for 200 years and for the first hundred out of the 200 hundred we were under a company . A nation so great and powerful was reduced to a third world country by a bunch of traders, hard pill to swallow aint it ? Let us see where we actually messed up . 

• Let's admit it majority of the rulers of India were stupid they made a deal with the devil (england) , the people of India had no sentiment for their fellow Indians (honestly majority still dont) , so it was a jackpot for the british , it was very easy for them .For example king A and king B are busy fighting wars against each other (which was the usual case in India ) , king A is very powerful and the british alone can't defeat him and they know it but they know they can defeat king B and what they also know they can defeat king B alone , so they go to the king B and say ,"we have a mutual enemy king A lets end his empire together and then we will share the spoils of war" king B thinks he is very smart joining hands with a foreign power , the war is over the king A has lost and while the king B is planing to celebrate the british declare a war on him and win resulting their ultimate supremacy over the kingdoms of king A and B .This wouldn't have happened if king A and B would join hands against the malicious brits.  
• the british army had more Indian soldiers than british soldiers , who were treated like shit and  the shame full thing is they did not complain , and when they finally revolted , it was due to religious causes , how can someone expect a country filled with such regressive thoughts to prosper .
• after the first 100 years of british rule Indians finally considered them selves a part of something bigger than themselves , they united against oppression , against foreign control but to our shame this "unity" only lasted till the time british moved out , our freedom was soon followed by the bloody partition literally, bloody . many Indians and pakistanis died and who killed them? The people who were brothers in arms when the british were around . Religion took importance after the british moved out , this was an aftermath of the seeds of religious division sown in the minds of Indians to control them . 
• The country is full of talented people , the reason for it not being the most developed nation in the world (it has the potential to be) , is that India does not consist of many Indians  , it consists of hindus , muslims , christians then further devided to jatts , SC,ST ,OBC , general , we also have west bengalis , madhya pradeshis , south indians , north indians , we just dont have a lot of Indians . People dont happen to be proud of the national flag and the JNU protests , the protests against the tricolour rule  can attest to that fact , and if people are not proud to be a part of a country then they wont work for it . 
• the conclusion is clear , most of the successful people we know are from Indian origin (eg - CEO of google sundar pichai) , and if all these gifted people , talented people , could work together , forgetting there differences , as Indians could work together then not even God can stop this country from progressing (NOT saying he would want to ) . but if they don't well ... we dont wanna see that now do we . The Truth About All Terror Groups

"The world is a giant tinder box waiting for some one to light the match." and sadly the match has been ignited by a group of hypocritical monsters calling themselves ISIS.

 These pathetic excuses for humans claim that they are fighting for islam or for the muslims , but the thing is they are responsible for the deaths of many innocent muslims ,muslims who don't share their point of view , and as they are killing so many people n the name of islam the world is blaming all the islamic people irrespective of whether they sympathise with this new threat to mankind known as ISIS , and as due to the terrorists islamic people are victims to discrimination ,  which then is used as a recruitment tool by these terror outfits , the reality of ISIS or any terror group for that matter is that they have no problem killing muslims (the people they claim to protect) , and the reason innocent muslims are subject to discrimination are these terror groups and no one realises this , the world is blind and ignorant of this deception taking place and they are just baselessly blaming people who have no part in the heinous acts done by these terror outfits , and this very tendency of the people will lead to the radicalisation of the moderate and innocent muslims , and is that happens we loose the most precious attribute God gave us our ability to work together , to unite and this attribute is the reason the mankind has developed so much , if we let these monsters take that from us the life as we know it will be gone , people turning on each other , a civil war etc it will be a mess , a mess which trust me none of us wanna be a part of . These monstrous terror outfits want exactly that , they want all communities to look suspiciously at the muslim community so that they can recruit soldiers easily and destroy the world . 

People don't be fooled , these terror outfits are not the salvation of one community but are the destruction of all communities including the one they claim to protect.

Universe As A Singularity

Stephen Hawkins while researching on black holes drew up a hypothesis which stated that information  of any particle or body is lost when the object enters a blackhole before we talk about the hypothesis we need to know what exactly is information , information of a particle or an object  is the property of that individual object or particle which causes distinction between the concerned object or particle and any other object or particle.

he said that if any two objects enter a black hole reach the singularity(also called the point of no return , even light dosent come back after reaching this point) there will be no way to differentiate between these two objects. This principle was in direct conflict with the theory of quantum physics which stated that information of a body can never be lost, thus by this hypothesis Stephen Hawkins found himself against quantum physics professor Leonard Suskind  who was firm on the point that information of a particle can never be lost even if it enters a black hole  . Thus the quantum physicists started researching to prove that Stephen Hawkins was actually wrong . After researching for a while they finally concluded that when an object enters the black hole , the information of the object or the property that causes a distinction between that object and any other object is preserved as a 2  dimensional image on the surface of the black hole . As they continued they found that the theory was more generalised than that i.e this theory (which was being called the holographic principle) did not only apply to one black hole it applied to the whole universe , that we were in a very large singularity and that our information was at the surface of it  a 2 dimensional image ,

 now after knowing this a very important question comes to mind whether the image at the surface is the real thing or the 3 - dimentional life we know is real . The answer to that question is, mathematically they are equally real and that one cannot say that one of them is real and the other is not.  The point is some where very very far away in the universe one will find all the information in the universe in a 2-dimentional format .

The Real Reason for Gravity

The theory of 4-dimensional space time is in my opinion has the deepest implications and meanings. Everything denied by most rational human beings being proved to be true by this theory for example fate and destiny many of us would like to believe that our fate , our future is not fixed but this theory of a 4-dimensional spacetime implies that our future is not only fixed but is already existant , the very instant we see that space and time inter link to form something much more elegent and beautiful which also happens to be the nature of true reality, we also understand for sure that the past , the present , the future are of equal meaning . But I am not writing this post about the implication of the spacetime theory on time but to explain gravity through this model of reality called spacetime.

it as an experimental fact that gravitational forces influence time . for example i will write about an experiment , now it is in common knowledge that gravitational force acting on an object near the surface of the earth will be more than the gravitational force acting on the same object away from the surface of the earth . So two very precise atomic clocks were taken , these clocks were identical in every way mass , shape , size no aspect of one of the clocks differed from the other.Both of the clocks were started together one of the clocks was taken to a plane which travelled around the world once while the other was kept in laboratory . After the world tour of the other clock was over, they were brought to the laboratory and the time on the both the clocks was compared and it was found that the clock which stayed in the laboratory was a few billionths of a second behind the clock which took the world tour, this means that time near the surface is slower than time away from it.
In his general relativity Albert Einstein showed that mass and energy bend space time like a heavy ball kept on a trampoline ,(if we look at it from a 2-d point of view) but in from the 4-d spacetime if you remove time(one of the 4 dimentions) then this is what the earth (or anything for that matter) does to space(I am just using this sentence to explain ,space and time seperately have no meaning)

and as in the trampoline case everything follows those bends caused by the ball which we feel to be the force of gravity . Now you must all be thinking that "if gravity is not really a force so why do the planets revolve around the sun according to newton's first law (which works in all other cases), we need a force to move planets in circular path , it cant simply be wrong?" no it isn't wrong see, the different objects bend spacetime and a straight line in a curved spacetime is a curved line , thus the orbits of planets are actually straight lines in a spacetime zone which is curved. Thus no law is broken and gravity has been explained!!

Now as gravity is bending the spacetime and not just space we see the effect of time dilation , gravity is bending time itself(i am just using this sentence to explain the effects of time dilation , space and time seperately have no meaning). This effect is what is causing the atomic clocks to go at different rates.

Here Comes Li-Fi!, This Is Gonna Amaze you!

Harald Haas, a teacher at university of Edinburgh(UK) introduced his audience with 'Li-Fi' at a TED Talk. It was an idea of "transferring information/data through light".

Today, Wi-Fi(Wireless Fidelity) is the most widely used internet connection and it makes up nearly 60% of global internet traffic. It was accidentally created during an experiment. But there's still some issues with it, it lags sometimes, sometimes there's a problem in connection and the worst of all anyone can pick the connection(it travels through walls).

The average internet speed is 23.5 Mega bits per second. South Korea has the highest internet speed where the highest was recorded at 100mbps.
Wi-Fi uses radio waves which have a frequency of 3Khz up to 300Ghz which is low compared to the frequency of the visible spectrum(visible light) which is from 430Tera Hertz to 770Tera hertz which is more than 10,000 times larger than normal radio wave frequency.

Thus, Light Fidelity(Li-Fi) was invented. It transmits data using LED light bulbs.  All we need to do is replace our normal fluorescent lights with the LED's. It can transmit data 100x faster than our normal internet speed, nearly at 100Gbps. It doesn't stop there, researchers from Oxford university have recorded speeds of 224Gbps with which we can download 18,  1.5Gb movies in 1 second.

We just need to have our LED lights at our ceiling/anywhere on and it will start transmitting data in your home/office anywhere. It sends information by blinking at different rates(human eye will not be able to recognize the blinking).

He transmits an HD video just using light waves

The company pureLifi has collected funds over $2 million around December,2015 and is going to launch their first ever dongle which runs Li-Fi. They have named their product Li-Fi-X. They will release their product near March 2016.

This product is going to change the world. It will be cheap light powered internet. It can lead to a situation where all electronic devices communicate with each other. If Li-fi is available widely, it will revolutionize technology and transfer of information will no longer be an obstacle for an average user.

The weird nature of reality

Quantum physics plays a very important role in our lives , even though its implications elude our common experience without the advancements in quantum physics life as we know it would be over , the computer I am using to write this would not exist , the network you are using to read this would not exist , no phones ,camera , not even tv. Now that I have established that there is no ignoring quantum effects ,I will discuss about the most basic and  very bizarre quantum effect that is the uncertainty principle

Imagine that a dog has been tied to a tree with a 5m rope, and I tell you to close your eyes and set the dog moving and ask you to tell me the position of the dog you will say that the dog is at any point inside the circle with the tree as the centre and the radius of 5 metres and you will be right the dog is at a particular position in that circle you just cant see it . Now let us replace the dog with a particle let us say that the some how it has been confined in such a way that the farthest it can be from the tree is 5 metres and i ask you to close your eyes and tell me the position of the particle you will again say that it at a point in that 5 metre radius around the tree but this time you will be absolutely wrong , the answer would be that the particle is everywhere in that 5 metre radius around the tree . the instant you measure its position it will come to a definite position inside that circle but now that you have measure its position precisely there is no way to know its velocity ,not because you don’t have the equipment but because nature has forbidden you to ,the very statement of knowing the position and the velocity of a particle has no meaning and it is absurd to think it that way , and if you precisely measure the velocity of this quantum particle then the particle could be any part of the universe rendering the confinement useless . This is the uncertainty principle . 

the velocity and position both of a quantum particle cannot be known , precisely knowing of one will give infinite values to the other and before any measurement is made on the particle the particle has several values of both positions and velocity at the same time.The implications of this principle are profound , this means that the nature of reality is entirely dependent on the observations made by an observer . 

Now you must be wondering that why don't we observe this in our daily lives since we are made of particles? here is the answer this strange thing happens because of something called the wave-particle duality it is established in quantum physics that matter also behaves as a wave and thus has a wave length which is inversely proportional to the momentum of the object concerned the momentum of a particle is very very less as its mass is very less thus it behaves as such, and anything we handle in our daily life is comparatively very heavy thus has huge momentum thus the wave-length is negligible and thus this strange behaviour is negligible .

A $4 smartphone?What!

19 February, 2016, an Indian smartphone brand 'Ringing Bells' launched a phone named Freedom251 for registrations(pre-order) at an unbelievable cost of $4(Rs.251) with features of phones which cost at-least $90-$100(Rs.5000-Rs.6000). It is indeed the world's cheapest smartphone. Ringing bells says it has more than 650 service centers all over India. On February 19th , registrations were to start at 6 A.M.(IST) but the site crashed due to the number of visitors and the registrations was delayed 24 hrs. It had unimaginable number of registrations,more than 70 bookings. The company said the original cost for the phone was $26(rs.1719) but they were not working for profit. The surprising thing is they haven't started the manufacturing yet. They will also be sending 5000 units each to 100 distributors.

The recent tragedy of India

Recently it has been exposed that patriotism is in short supply in India.We have students of universities protesting against the hanging of the master-mind of the attacks on the parliament of India Afzal Guru a terrorist .Catching and killing of this man was very important as he put a question mark on India's ability to check criminals, the fact that it took around 12 years to hang him which is shameful very shameful indeed but it is never too late to mend and it is splendid that he was finally hanged.

Recently came the anniversary of this hanging ,on that very fateful day some non -patriotic students decided to protest against the hanging of a man who wanted to harm their country. These protests started in the JNU and spread to Jadavpur university . The students audaciously give violent slogans like "bandook ke dam pe aazadi"(meaning 'freedom at the cost of weapons') which show criminal intent utter dis-regard for India and everything it stands for.

What's sad is some politicians see fit to their selfish interests to support these students . All the debates show politicians bickering against the BJP the main party of the ruling alliance NDA , these protests pose a serious threat to the country and all these opportunistic politicians don’t care and are only worried about their selfish gains, this is what exceedingly pains me , in such a grievous situation the country is not uniting

to remind the students of their original country and how much they owe it , the tricolour rule has been established which states that all government universities should have an Indian flag in their campus which is proudly visible from anywhere in the campus . This was the perfect rule and solution to the problem , it wasn’t harming anyone and was also showing that Indians are proud to be Indians 

But still there were disgraces who were not happy with this idea for example professor Imankalyan Lahiri of the jadavpur university who was openly against the idea when asked why was he not happy with this idea even though it was nationalist he audaciously said “Nationalism is not as same as destruction” thereby openly claiming that the hoisting of the Indian flag in each college was destruction which very hypocritical as professor Lahiri earns his living by teaching in a college that was set-up to aid the Indian  national movement .

The mis-conception of time

In the theory of special relativity Albert Einstein explained the relativity of motion and time.We all know motion is relative, suppose you are sitting in a moving train you will observe that the seats or the co-passengers are not moving, but a person outside will say that you are all moving the seats, the passengers and the train, so now we have established that motion of a body is not absolute and that it depends on the observer observing it. 

Let us modify the situation the train is moving at the speed of 2m/s and you are inside throwing a ball inside with a velocity 2m/s in the same direction as the motion of the train. An observer inside will note that the velocity of the ball is 2m/s and an observer outside will note that the ball is moving at the velocity 4m/s(speed of the train with respect to an observer outside + speed of the ball with respect to the train ). Now let us replace the ball with a beam of light by the earlier logic used one would expect that with respect to the observer outside the speed of the beam should be more when compared to the speed of the beam with respect to the observer inside. 

 Here is the punchline it has been experimentally found that the speed of light is same for all observers, moving at different speeds at different places, thus in this case the speed of light is same for both observers, the time taken is same but the distance traveled is not, this is absurd unless speed of time for both observers is different this was a very radical proposal made by Einstein. Time runs slowly for the faster body. So he combined all 3 dimensions of space and one dimension of time to make a solid block of space time.

Now that we have established that time is not absolute but relative, I will tell something even more mind blowing .This unification of space-time suggests something much deep, we are used to thinking of space which evolves with time the space-time is something in which all events in time are together and there is no evolution just a solid 4 dimensional block of space-time in which the past is not over, the future is not only fixed but is already existing , the present as same as the same meaning as past or future in reality .
